God Really Loves You

Fireworks explode over a dark sky. Children celebrate their arrival.
To me, God’s love is a wonder, like fireworks.

This will be a quick one. Do you know that God loves you? I know, you’ve heard that before it’s cliché, it’s passé, it’s another French word that rhymes with both… blasé? Whatever. But, does that truth hit you like another picture of a Starbucks Frappucchino in your social media feed, or do you cling to it like the stained whisper of a dying friend?

I just wanted to encourage you. If God does love you. If he really does love you, then you are very loved indeed.

But, so many terrible things are happening to me! My world is falling apart. Have you seen what’s happening in the world lately? Wake up, man!

Yes, it’s getting pretty dark out there. Yes, it feels like everywhere I turn I see hurt, helplessness, homelessness, and other lessnesses rising like dark waves around me… and that’s just on my street. Keep the news, you can have it, I can’t pray hard enough for the thirty or so people who live above and around me, but maybe you can? They all need prayer.

Watch this video: link: The Day I Collapsed  by brother Washer. Then read Ephesians 3:17-19

If you can’t sit down for 4 minutes and 44 seconds, then, skip to minute 3 and watch it to the end. Surely, you have 1 minute and 44 seconds to be encouraged.

read this passage from the passionate heart of the Apostle Paul. Imagine his voice breaking with breathless urgency, imagine him pleading with you as his eyes well with tears. Read it:

“…so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith— that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

Thought you should know.

Until next time, go lose your life!
